Pick up and Drop off on a Saturday is available (£ 50). Depots are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Please use these times as a guide only, as they may change slightly between depots.

If the vehicle is returned after the time that
was agreed in writing,
we charge £ 27 for every extra hour or part of an hour (but not more than
the total daily rate for every day late) and pass on any claims for compensation
for damages that may be asserted by the next renter or another person due to
a late receipt of the vehicle.If the vehicle is returned before the expiration
of the agreed rental period - there is no refund for unused days unless the vehicle
can be rented to another party.
One way rentals are available between Edinburgh and London on a request only basis. One way fee is £ 550 each way.
Fuel and operating costs are to be borne by the renter. The vehicles are handed over with full fuel tanks and they are to be returned full. Missing fuel will be charged at £ 2.20 per litre of diesel.
Minimum age is 25 years, and must have held a full drivers licence for a minimum of 3 years. Maximum age 70 years. For all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, you are required to hold a licence that allows you to drive a vehicle over 3.5 tonnes. Please check vehicle weight and your licence.
Additional Documents must be provided when hiring a motorhome in the UK.

- Either - Telephone (or mobile), Gas, Water, Electric, Banks statement, credit card statement, council tax or rates, house insurance or flight ticket with valid home address on it.
Please note: that without these documents the renters and the vehicle won’t be insured and McRent will not be allowed to hand out the vehicle.
Important Licence Information
If a driver is from outside of the UK or EU - you must:
1) Obtain an international licence OR
2) Send us a copy of your drivers licence in advance, by scan, so it can be sent to the insurers for manual approval.
Please note that that if a customer arrives in London or Edinburgh on a Saturday and they have not been pre-approved they will not be able to drive until Monday.
Every additional driver costs £ 150 per day with a maximum of 3 drivers in total.

at most depots free of charge. Please enquire with
us for more details.
The security deposit of £ 1000 must be paid at the start of a rental. Refunded if the vehicle is returned in a proper condition and after the final settlement of the rental contract by McRent HQ. (please note: For renters from the USA - deposit of £ 2,000 must be paid at the start of a rental). Accepted credit cards are Visa & Mastercard.
The
renter bears the costs of any damage that occurs during
the
rental period while using the vehicle in accordance
with the contract up to € 1,000 per
case of damage.
If the damage is caused by
intent or gross negligence, especially if the renter was
unable to drive due to the consumption of drugs or alcohol,
the liability limitation does not apply. The same applies
to any damage caused by not observing traffic sign 265 (maximum
vehicle height on a road). Despite the agreed limitation
of liability, the renter is moreover fully liable for any
damage caused by failure to observe the vehicle dimensions
(vehicle height and width), by improper loading and unloading
and by the load or by driving backwards without being directed.
The renter is liable for any
damages claimed by a third party against him/her or against
McRent that the renter has caused to a third party during
the use of the object of rental. The renter is liable for
all fees, levies, fines, and punishments that are imposed
on the lessor in connection with the use of the vehicle
unless they are caused by fault of the lessor.
Please note: that due to insurance restrictions clients from the following countries are not allowed to rent a vehicle in the United Kingdom (London and Edinburgh).

The vehicle may only be driven by the renter himself/herself and by the drivers
specified in the rental contract.
In case the reserved vehicle cannot be made available at the rental station,
the lessor reserves the right to provide a vehicle that is comparable in
size and equipment or bigger. That will not cause any additional rental costs
for the renter. If a smaller vehicle is offered and accepted by the renter,
the price difference of both vehicles is reimbursed. If the provision of
a bigger vehicle causes higher ancillary costs, such as ferry charges and
tolls or operating costs, such costs are to be borne by the renter.
It is possible to make trips abroad
within Europe. Any trips to East European countries
are subject to the lessor's prior approval. Trips
to any war and unstable zones are forbidden.
Please note: No Travel to Russia is allowed.

If a renter shortens their hire period by more than a week - it may be treated as a cancellation of the whole booking and a re-booking. This depends on when the amendment takes place and how many days of hire are being cancelled.
Please ensure you always have travel insurance in place.
